Elasta QP Olive Oil and Mango Butter

Hey yal! I bought a product yesterday that I have been dying to buy for a while now since the formula changed and can breathe a sigh of relief since my hair seems to be loving it. The new and improved Elasta QP Olive oil and Mango butter, is a very moisturizing butter, creamy and has a slightly off mango scent. Below are the pros and cons from the perspective of my hair.

PROS:

  • Very moisturizing
  • Has a lot more oils/butters than the first formula
  • Great price (picked mine up for around $5)
  • Can be used to moisturize and seal

CONS:

  • I didn’t really like the scent. It wants to smell like mango but is slightly off (:/)
  • Has dimethicone

I must say I will be purchasing this product again. I rarely use products with cones but for the price of this product and how well it moisturized my hair, I will be using it again and cleansing my hair properly to prevent build up.

I use the Creme of Nature Argan Oil Moisture & Shine sulfate free shampoo which does a great job of removing any build up on my hair.

I applied the butter to my ends and edges with great results. I found it works really well to slick back my edges like a pomade or gel would but without the hard/crunchy feeling.

I moisturized my hair last night and didn’t need to do so again this morning. All in all I would have liked if it had no cones but hey since that’s the only turn off for me, I will give this product a 4/5.

Hope this review helps someone. Have a great day!
